Rainforestation Nature Park
Welcome to Tropical North Queensland
Tropical North Queensland is a destination that captivates the imagination and leaves a lasting impression on all who venture in this awe-inspiring corner of Australia.
Rainforestation Nature Park is located in Kuranda village which is a vibrant and picturesque mountain retreat just 25 kilometres northwest of Cairns. It is surrounded by World Heritage Rainforest. Historic buildings from the village’s past now house a variety of upmarket restaurants, cafes and bars. It is still laid back, but with a style and sophistication that sets it apart from other venues and attractions in the region.
Cairns, the region's main gateway, serves as a vibrant hub for tourists seeking adventure and relaxation alike. Its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, makes it a paradise for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts, providing an up-close encounter with the kaleidoscope of marine life thriving in the coral gardens. Beyond the reef, the Atherton Tablelands, a plateau of fertile land, offers a serene escape dotted with charming villages, waterfalls, and crater lakes. Northward, the Daintree Rainforest reveals an ancient wilderness teeming with unique flora and fauna, and iconic wildlife including the rare and endangered Southern Cassowary.
There is so much to do in Cairns, Kuranda and its surrounds. Why not book a tour with Tropic Wings Cairns Tours & Charters and explore the region. You can also visit our other attractions including Cairns Koalas & Creatures in Cairns city, Australian Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda, and Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas.
